Hitting the European skies

In a few hours we'll be heading to the Genova airport. We arrived back at our hotel yesterday, and our bikes were still sitting exactly where we left them! We proceeded to break them down to pack in the boxes. Just like last time, though, we couldn't get one of the pedals off, but this time we had nowhere to go to get it taken off "professionally." So one pedal is still on my bike. Hopefully the airlines won't put up any fuss. It still fits in the box, just bulges a little bit on one side. The whole ordeal resulted in multiple curses and an immense amount of sweat pouring from every pore. And now the pedal is so stripped it will never come off. Harumph.

We'll put up pictures from the last parts of our trip when we get home. Don't quite have time today. Possibly from London--we'll be in the airport from about 5 pm today until 11 am tomorrow. That's less than 24 hours, though!

We're ready to be home!
