We woke up to snow this morning! Yahoo! We LOVE the snow! It has been snowing since about 7 am this morning and its still snowing really hard now at 5 pm. Crazy snow. I have never seen it snow this much here in B'ham. At 11ish there was about 5 inches. Now there is 7-8 inches on our deck. We walked to a friends house and our tracks were covered an hour later on our way home. Adam just put the chains on the Nissan and is attempting to drive and play soccer. No wait.... here he comes....back in the house. He didn't even make it 100 yards before the chain fell off, a car tried to go around him and now the other car is stuck. It's gotta be bad for Adam not to play soccer! We probably won't have school tomorrow! A blessing and a pain. Snow days are always fun but making school up in June never is. Oh well... It's snowing!!!!
Here we are up in the snow at the Lower Mt. Baker Lodge, two weeks ago. Today has almost as much snow! Who knew we would have our own winter down here. I love it!
This is what our porch looked like this morning at about 9 am.
Brindzi was excited to play in the snow. She loves the snow. When we went out a couple hours later, her earlier tracks were all covered up.
On our way back from our friends house, Adam had Brindzi fetching snowballs and bounding in the snow.
She was quite tempted by the birds and chased a few down into the snowy ditch. She almost got lost in the snow drifts.
This is what our porch looked like at about 3 pm when we arrived back from our walk. Brindzi wanted to measure it herself.
Here is what it looks like now. We think it's a winter wonderland! I am sure the media is calling it "The Thanksgiving blizzard '06". I am so glad we drove back up yesterday and are not stuck in this mess on the Freeway. Western WA doesn't have enough snow removal equipment to deal with this much snow all at once.
We still LOVE Gryffin! Here he is all wrapped up in our Christmas ornament paper. We put up the Christmas tree today. It really did feel like Christmas. Cheesy Christmas music on the radio, snow falling outside, the smell of fir trees. Yep. Too bad it's still November.

Well, we did eventually get some snow down here in Seattle, but NOTHING like those pictures. Wow, that last one of your porch this evening is crazy!
We got a few inches, though, enough to make a snowman in the front yard. Looks like it's pretty much stopped, now. Meghan and I will just have to move further north again sometime.
We too were happy that we were graced with some snow to go along with our cheesy Christmas music on the radio (I think I heard "Christmas in the Northwest" two or three times today) and Christmas tree decorating.
It was good seeing you both this weekend and playing obscene amounts of games (played another game of pitch and 5-player Ticket to Ride, tonight).
