Day 3 - Weeds and Wood Panels, Be Gone!
Another productive day for the Adam & Erin Homestead Project. Mark and Nikki had to jet for Easter festivities (thanks for your help and your visit!), but the family remained, and we finished off a few things and dug into a couple others. We started off with scrambled eggs and a win on the indoor soccer pitch, and got down to business.
Second coat went up in the 2nd upstairs bedroom. We also chose colors for the up- and downstairs hallways. You'll see pictures tomorrow!
We found a hole under some of it. Not sure why it was there. The old chimney is in there. Some possibilities for the space: Fish tank; knick-knack shelf; dumbwaiter.
The same walls as two pictures previous, sans wood panels. Yellow paint on wall paper on wood walls. We'll probably sheet rock over it. A few wood panels left to take out, which are installed behind the steps. Dang tedious work. But it's already looking better.
Meanwhile, work continues outside. Mom and Dad kept annihilating weeds, and the garden looks great. Just a few weeds left to pull out tomorrow, and the planting can commence!

Lookin' good! Good luck with the rest of the week, I can't imagine how different it will look the next time I'm up there.
